Talkshow: bong bóng bòng bong – huyên thuyên về lưu trữ “bóng”

30/06/2024

Time: 30/06/2024

Address: T1.5

Have you ever wondered where queer is in the spaces and existences of time? Have you ever wondered about how queer stories and experiences are perceived, collected and archived? Or do you have concerns about what you can do to practice queer archives? Or are you simply curious about why archiving queer stories is necessary?

To (not) find the answers to those questions, and also to close the international Pride month, in the next episode of Bong Bóng, join Hanoi Pride and Ms. Nhung Dinh (A Queer Museum) came to a provocative talk at COMPLEX 01 on the topic of queer archives called bong bóng bòng bong – chatter about “bubble” storage.

With the support of COMPLEX 01, this is an activity in Complex 01’s Pride Here, Pride Now series of events.

This is a free event

Information about speakers:
Dinh Nhung – began to be interested in and search for documents and stories about the lives of queer people since 2009. The search did not yield much information and was quite difficult, so Nhung began to accumulate activities, not just yourself but also what’s going on around you. Nhung started to collect vocabulary, save what people shared, information about events and activities of individuals and organizations related to gender, LGBTIQ+ rights or cultural and artistic events, etc. Along with archiving and collaborating with queer friends is the basis for the birth of a number of exhibitions, two books Chỉ Bàn Lộn: queer & sexuality lexicons and the formation of an archive on queer and feminism at A Queer Museum.
