COMPLEX FEST 2024: CRAFT & PRINT UNION
COMPLEX FEST 2024 was a multi-experience cultural festival that brought the atmosphere of a “craft factory” with the CREATIVE FACTORY and BREWING FACTORY, while also honoring the heritage of Union Printing Factory, the predecessor of COMPLEX 01. Held from October 15 to 20/2024, at COMPLEX 01, the event invited participants into a unique space where art, craftsmanship, and creative activities converged.
Continuing with last year’s success, COMPLEX FEST 2024 returned with the theme “Craft & Print Union.” The festival recreated the lively environment of a “craft factory” operating at full capacity, featuring the Creative Factory and Brewing Factory. It offered visitors the chance to explore and experience the cultural values preserved and developed by the former Printing Factory, now transformed into COMPLEX 01. Throughout the journey, attendees enjoyed craft printing and beer products, meticulously crafted by skilled artisans at CREATIVE FACTORY and BREWING FACTORY. Additionally, the UNION 01: Past & Present display showcased valuable historical materials, highlighting the golden age of Vietnam’s printing industry and the transformation of this industrial symbol into a center of community, art, creativity, and cultural exchange. Finally, specialized workshops within the side events provided attendees with deeper knowledge of the craft and insights into the stories behind the creation of these iconic “works.”
The event was open to the public and featured interactive experiences across its main “factory” areas:
Nghề Nghệ Art Fair: CREATIVE FACTORY
Nghề Nghệ Art Fair offered a space for visitors to explore, shop, and collect unique handcrafted items made by talented Makers. Through workshops on traditional and modern printing techniques, attendees learned about the craft and admired creative artworks.
BREWING FACTORY: Craft Beer & Fusion Taste
Attendees immersed themselves in a sensory celebration with unique craft beers from renowned breweries in Vietnam, paired with fusion cuisine. The festival atmosphere was enlivened by entertainment like dare pong, DJ, Open Mic, and Live Music, creating an energetic, vibrant space.

A fascinating exhibit presented exclusive, previously unpublished materials documenting the journey of transforming an industrial heritage site into Complex 01.

COMPLEX FEST 2024 attracted over 5,000 visitors and received positive feedback for its vibrant, creative atmosphere and variety of activities. The event successfully promoted the cultural value of local craftsmanship and art, solidifying COMPLEX 01’s role in preserving and advancing community heritage.
