ON THE OCCASION OF THE LAUNCHING OF THE VIETNAMESE TRANSLATION OF GUSTAVE DUMOUTIER’S WORK “FUNERAL OF AN NAM PEOPLE”

Since its release, the research volume “Funerals of the An Nam people” has received great attention from a large number of readers of all ages, proving the appeal of this topic of traditional beliefs.

“Funerals of the An Nam people” portrays a comprehensive and extremely vivid picture of Vietnamese funeral rituals in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, through perspectives, approaches and methods. Research by Gustave Dumoutier, a Western scholar knowledgeable about Vietnam.

To learn more about ancient Vietnamese customs and consciousness in traditional beliefs, Nha Nam in collaboration with the Dharmakaya Institute invites you to attend the event on the occasion of launching the Vietnamese translation of this important research work.
