When it comes to New York, one immediately thinks of an iconic symbol of the American dream, which has been nurturing the vibrance of jazz music and culture to this day.

In the 1930s, jazz had its own Renaissance period, when swing jazz – along with the innovative Lindy Hop dance – gradually moved from the legendary Savoy nightclub in Harlem to American television, and then to global popular culture. Nearly a century later, the playful passion of Lindy Hop still accompanies swing jazz, setting the beat for fun parties on dance floors all over the world.

This March, Swing Dancing Hanoi, along with Complex 01 and Polygon Musik, is honored to bring a taste of the 1930s New York atmosphere to the audience of Hanoi with a live band, jazz classics, and a fervently fun night of dance.
