The event was part of the “France-Vietnam Cultural Cooperation – Special Events” series, organized in celebration of the official visit of the President of the French Republic and the delegation from the French Ministry of Culture to Vietnam.
White Light Cinéhub is an integrated cinematic space that combines an art-house screening room with professional post-production services, alongside educational programs and public dialogues centered around cinema. The project is jointly developed by Complex 01 and White Light Post (Thailand), with support from the French Institute and the French Embassy in Vietnam.

The event welcomed notable guests including Mrs. Eva Nguyen Binh – President of the French Institute worldwide, Mr. Jeremy Segay – Audiovisual Attaché for Southeast Asia, Mr. Tran Dac Phuc – Co-founder/CEO of Complex 01, Mr. Chartchai Ketnust – CEO of White Light Post (Thailand), Ms. Le Thi Thu Ha – Head of Film Dissemination at the Vietnam Department of Cinema, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with many French cultural representatives and Vietnamese directors and filmmakers.

Mrs. Eva Nguyen Binh expressed her delight at the birth of a new cinematic space in Hanoi, continuing the legacy of the former screening activities at L’Espace under the French Institute, emphasizing: “This is a meaningful collaborative initiative. The French Institute is committed to accompanying the development of White Light Cinéhub.”

Mr. Tran Dac Phuc shared: “Built upon international collaboration, White Light Cinéhub serves as a creative bridge between Vietnam, Thailand, and France. This space aims to promote professional exchange, support emerging film projects, and connect the filmmaking community across Southeast Asia and Europe.”

During the event, delegates and guests toured the White Light Cinéhub project space and witnessed the unveiling of a commemorative plaque honoring the French Institute in Vietnam and the French Embassy in Vietnam for their significant contributions to the project.

The highlight of the program was the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between White Light Cinéhub and the French Institute, signed by Mr. Tran Dac Phuc and Mrs. Eva Nguyen Binh, witnessed by Ms. Rachida Dati – French Minister of Culture at the Pan Pacific hotel.
The program also opened up dynamic discussions about expectations for developing a post-production-focused cinematic space, as well as promoting technical and cultural exchange behind the screen, with active participation from industry experts and young filmmakers.
