The Invisible Stage #5
On the evenings of July 5th and 6th, 2025, Invisible Theatre #5 was successfully held at White Light Cinéhub – COMPLEX 01. This was a special theatrical event with a bold mission: to break down the fourth wall in audiences’ perception of traditional theatre, bringing authentic and profound artistic experiences to Hanoi’s theatre-loving community.

The program featured three diverse plays ranging from realism to absurdism, including “Two Madmen” directed by Bui Van Nam with actors Hai Ha and Son Pham, “I Went to the Zoo” by director Nguyen Gia Bach with two actors: Dong Quan and Nguyen Minh Duc, and “The Story of the Man Who Turned Into a Dog” directed by Pham Thanh Phuong with the cast of Kha Nguyen, Thanh Son, Hien Trang, and Thuy Dang. These fresh faces brought new energy to the theatrical space, delivering emotionally rich and creative performances.

The special aspect of the event lay in erasing the boundaries between audience and performers, empowering viewers to think critically rather than placing them in passive positions as in traditional theatre. Instead of maintaining the invisible fourth wall that has existed for thousands of years, the program transformed theatre into a more democratic space, where audiences were not only observers but were also encouraged to reflect and interact with what was happening on stage.

The White Light Cinéhub space at COMPLEX 01 created an ideal environment for these bold artistic experiments. Attendees experienced a fresh form of theatre where art and life were naturally and intimately connected. The event not only provided entertainment but also opened new perspectives on contemporary theatre, affirming that White Light Cinéhub and COMPLEX 01 are ideal destinations for those seeking distinctive artistic experiences in Hanoi.
