KOREAN TRADITIONAL CULTURE EXHIBITION – THAT’S KOREA: Tradition Shaping Today’s Daily Life
From October 25th to November 3rd, 2024, the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea, and the Embassy of Korea in Vietnam, organized the traditional Korean cultural exhibition titled “THAT’S KOREA: Tradition Shaping Today’s Daily Life” at COMPLEX 01. The event attracted a large number of attendees, particularly young people and students in Hanoi, providing a unique space to experience and explore Korean traditional culture.
The exhibition featured a variety of activities, not only showcasing traditional Korean cultural products but also offering unique experiences such as performances of traditional Vietnamese-Korean musical instruments, as well as fun activities reflecting the cultural heritage of both nations. Participants had the opportunity to take part in exciting activities like Korean-style tea ceremonies, trying traditional games, and learning about traditional crafts.
The event also featured tempting Korean food stalls, where participants could enjoy typical dishes from Korea, ranging from snacks to traditional meals like Hansik. Participants also had the chance to wear Hanbok, the traditional Korean attire, and explore the deep cultural values displayed in the craft booths.
A standout highlight of the exhibition was the traditional musical instrument performance, where Vietnamese and Korean artists showcased their talents, creating an inspiring evening of cultural fusion. Participants not only admired the cultural products but also immersed themselves in the unique musical atmosphere.
The “THAT’S KOREA” exhibition offered a wonderful opportunity for young people and the community to engage with, experience, and better understand the fusion of tradition and modern life in Korea. This was not only a cultural event but also a bridge to promote exchange and strengthen the friendship between Vietnam and Korea.
