Supporting Conversations ++ on the Health of the Art Market
The “Supporting Conversations++” event on the health of the art market was successfully held at Complex 01, bringing valuable discussions about making Vietnam’s art market more transparent and professional.
Initiated by the Supporting Project and co-organized with Lân Tinh Foundation with support from Complex 01, the series of two conversations drew enthusiastic participation from artists, art students, collectors, and art market enthusiasts.
The first session on Saturday afternoon (January 4, 2025) addressed the theme “Collecting, Buying, or Investing in Art? Why and When?”, exploring various perspectives on art collection and investment. The following day (January 5, 2025), the second session “Why Should Artists Understand Business? And Vice Versa!” generated insightful discussions about the intersection of art and business practices.
Under the thoughtful moderation of independent journalist and expert Truong Uyen Ly, distinguished speakers including curator and art researcher Ace Le, art collector Hoang Anh Tuan, and Ms. Duong Thu Hang – Director of Hanoi Studio Gallery shared their valuable insights and experiences about developing a more professional art market in Vietnam.
