CINÉTALK: THE ODYSSEY: A LITERARY AND CINEMATIC PERSPECTIVE
To celebrate the theatrical release of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, White Light Cinéhub successfully hosted the talk “The Odyssey Through the Lens of Literature and Cinema” on July 13.

The discussion explored The Odyssey from both literary and cinematic perspectives. While authors Hiền Trang and Morpheus examined how Homer’s timeless epic can be reinterpreted through the language of contemporary cinema, Tô Quang Định, post-production specialist, and Courtney Nguyễn, founder of the Christopher Nolan Vietnam fan community, shared insightful perspectives on why The Odyssey is an ideal source material for Christopher Nolan, as well as the expectations and creative challenges surrounding the acclaimed filmmaker’s adaptation.

Attendees also enjoyed an exclusive screening of the film’s official trailer in DCP format, gained access to selected production notes, behind-the-scenes images, and exclusive interview materials, and received limited-edition gifts courtesy of Universal Pictures and CGV Cinemas Vietnam.

* The event was organized by White Light Cinéhub with the support of Universal Pictures and CGV Cinemas Vietnam.
