CULTURE BY DESIGN 2 – ABC AUSTRALIA LAUNCH EVENT AT COMPLEX 01

● On August 19, COMPLEX 01 was pleased to host the launch event of Culture by Design Season 2, an ABC Australia series exploring cultural values through architecture, design, art, and community spaces across Asia.

● The new season features stories from Vietnam, meeting artists, designers, artisans, and architects who are preserving, reinterpreting, and bringing cultural heritage into contemporary life. The launch at COMPLEX 01 was also a meaningful meeting point for culture, creativity, design, and international exchange — reflecting the spirit of connection that the space seeks to foster.

● The event was jointly organized by ABC Australia, the Australian Embassy in Vietnam, and Vietnam Television (VTV), with the participation of representatives from the three organizations, media outlets from both countries, and members of the Culture by Design team, including Professor and Architect Anthony Burke (University of Technology Sydney), the series host, and Producer Claudine Ryan.

● The event also brought together Vietnamese artists, designers, and artisans featured in Season 2, including Phan Hai Bang (Truc Chi Art), fashion designer Vu Thao (Kilomet109), Le Viet Cuong (Vun Art), and Do Huu Triet (Phap Lam), alongside many other creative practitioners.
