THE BLUE PRINT: CYANOTYPE WORKSHOP

The Blue Print – a handmade Cyanotype printing workshop organized by Nghề Nghệ together with Hà Nội Mở and COMPLEX 01 – created a new creative playground where people could discover the joy of entertainment through a deeper exploration of photography and handcrafted printing art.

Historically, Cyanotype was widely used for reproducing technical drawings (blueprints) before re-emerging in contemporary art as a highly tactile and direct handcrafted process. To us, Cyanotype is not only a long-standing printing technique, but also a way of practicing personal archiving.

Through the processes of light exposure, rinsing, and drying, each participant had the opportunity to transform keepsakes and everyday moments into one-of-a-kind photographic prints, carrying unique personal imprints that cannot be replicated.
